SOC VAT Consultants Ltd is based in North London and was set up in 2003 by our Director, Socrates Socratous to offer VAT advisory services to businesses wanting a quality, professional, but affordable alternative service to large accountancy and tax practices.  We provide VAT advice to both small and multi-national businesses and organisations, although we particularly specialise in advising the following sectors:

• not-for-profit, particularly charities
• registered social landlords (RSLs)
• educational organisations
• trade associations and membership organisations

We also have specialist knowledge in the house-building and commercial property sectors, and in international supplies of services and goods.

In addition to providing services direct to clients, we also provide support to other professional organisations that may not have their own in-house VAT specialists.

The aim of SOC is to ensure that our clients receive excellent value for money. SOC VAT Consultants confirmed as preferred supplier to the NUS

Following discussions with the NUS Strategic Support Unit, we are pleased to announce that SOC VAT Consultants Ltd has been approved as a preferred supplier to the NUS and its member organisations. As part of the new online support library for Student Unions on NUS Connect, we are one of a handful of organisations that have been appointed as preferred suppliers in the launch phase, specifically covering the area of VAT advice.
 
We look forward to working with the NUS and various Students Unions to improve their VAT accounting and provide solutions to VAT problems.
